Ever wonder what it’s like to work with a designer? How do we go from meeting you to creating your dream space? For me, it’s all in the process!

We’ll start with an email or a phone call which is really a quick meet and greet to get to know a little more about your project and what you are trying to achieve. If all seems good after we chat, then we’ll schedule some time to meet in your home. During our first meeting to talk about your project, I will ask lots of questions about your goals and what you wish to accomplish with your remodel. I’ll find out what works for you about the space and what doesn't. We’ll talk about your likes and dislikes when it comes to the way the space functions, and what your design tastes are.

After our meeting, I will have a pretty good idea of the direction we need to take, but I will confirm that by sending you initial design concepts in the form of sketches, initial space plans, or material inspirations. When the initial concepts are approved, I get to work ironing out every detail. Then, we’ll meet again in your home to go over the design plan in more detail.

During this meeting, I may have a few different ideas and options for you, and we will work them together to choose the best solutions for your project. We’ll go over the space plan and discuss any changes we may want to see and talk through our options to make sure that your space functions perfectly for the way that you live. We’ll look at 3D renderings of the new space along with samples of all the materials and finishes that I am proposing. My goal is to make sure you have a clear vision of your finished space.

When we’re finished and have made every decision, I will work on a complete design packet to send you with all of the information you need to bring this design to life.

Below is a glimpse of what goes into a project from concept to completion. I know it looks like a lot, but you can leave the hard work to me! Your contractor will be delighted when you hand her a design packet that has everything thought through and documented or use this packet as an instruction manual if you are tackling your project on your own.
